Courtney Love's Victory

Jury sides
Jury sides with Courtney Love in trial over tweetCourtney Love's victory is a victory for Constitutional right to free speech. I don't see what justice is served by suing a former client for being unhappy with her performance. Holmes' lawyer has the nerve to say her 'reputation' was upheld. What reputation? Her reputation for suing clients who don't like it when she fails to win? That's not a good reputation to have in the legal profession. In fact, there is no worse reputation to have. No one will want to hire her, knowing that if she loses a case, and they let any sort of criticism out, she could sue them, just as she's done here.Fact is, by suing Love, she's ruined her reputation. Everyone knows it. The smart move would have been to pretend she never saw the Twitter post. It was so old that there is zero risk of it having an impact on her client base. Now, she has done the un-doable thing, and there is no salvaging her reputation. Finally.....good for you Courtney...unlike many , as myself, who have been screwed to the gills by frickening no good, and some good attorneys. Love's tweet stated, "I was  devastated when Rhonda J Holmes Esq of san diego was bought off" in response to a question from user of the popular social media site. The message was never meant to be public, Love told jurors. She said she meant for it to be sent as a direct message, which only the recipient would see, but it instead went public and was quickly deleted. The swift verdict wasn't witnessed by Love, who had left court after closing arguments ended Friday morning. She arrived just as the courthouse was closing down and met her attorneys, John Lawrence and Matthew Bures, in the hallway where she hugged them both.Love praised her attorneys and the jury after the verdict."Holmes' attorneys urged jurors in closing arguments to award the attorney $8 million and send a message that false statements online had consequences"Try getting shot at and getting paid much lower than "the elite" lawyers all of which have the same amount of education as I do. I just have a higher moral standard than these citizens(lawyers) that haven't, ( in my eyes) earned a thing, other than try to bend, manipulate, juxtapose the law to their benefit for their own gain. The United States has been on a steady decline but this is just icing I'm done Asked about her social media presence, Love said she refrained from posting on Twitter during the trial. "I didn't tweet out of respect for the case," she said.If her lawyer was really concerned about upholding her reputation then why didn't she ask for $20 in damages . I think that's the lowest amount a jury can award or maybe it's a dollar.I'm not sure. People will do that when it really isn't about the money but the principle of it.It would've convinced the jury that she was concerned about being exonerated and wasn't leaping on the chance to get rich.As for the world knowing that Love is a liar,Langberg can wish in one hand and poop in the other and see which one gets filled up first..I don't know for a fact that Love lied.
